Company Profile

Engineering & Project Solutions was formed in October 2006 by Kevin Dee and is located in the Daresbury Innovation Centre .

The company mission is to provide a broad range of engineering services with a focus towards Astronomical Research Instrumentation associated with small to medium class (4 metre Aperture) Telescope Facilities around the world.

The emphasis is to provide cost effective innovative solutions to the many astronomical institutions and facilities around the world.

Services available. 2D CAD, 3D Modelling, Project Management, Mechanical & Opto-Mechancial Design, Operations & Maintenance. Complimented by a network of specialist engineers who can provide information or services, in optics, electronics, software & control. Engineering Project Solutions is positioned well to assist, support, advise or collaborate with you in dealing with your engineering issues.

Career spans a wide range of engineering and management roles, commencing with an engineering apprenticeship culminating in the Head of Engineering Operations for a large world class Astronomical Research Facility.

Mechanical engineering background extended to most engineering disciplines associated with technology of telescopes, particle accelerators and instrumentation. Track record of taking ideas/concepts to full working solutions fully tested integrated and commissioned.

Aptitude to correctly diagnose system or engineering problems, prioritise them and implement an effective solution.

Most of my career over the last 30 years has been spent working for the UK research councils. CCLRC Daresbury Laboratory Warrington & PPARC The Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes Canary Islands. Whilst developing and enhancing my skills I still retained a very hands on approach to my work. Typical areas of work are Project Management, planning, H&S, operations, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, definition of procedures & production of reports.
